| Misión: | The Atmospheric Radar Research Center is located on the 4th floor of the National Weather Center at the research campus of the University of Oklahoma. | Instalaciones: | The Radar Innovations Laboratory (RIL) is the ARRC's hardware design, fabrication, and test facility established in March 2007. It is located in the One Partners Place building on OU's research campus. The RIL has over 4000 square-feet of lab space and state-of-art test equipment covering the DC to 50 GHz frequency range. The primary mission of the RIL is to support the scientific and educational goals of the ARRC through the design and fast prototyping of innovative hardware and software systems. As a shared facility, the RIL is also assisting in other university programs and is committed to working with the private sector. Although just recently established, the RIL has helped to develop several key partnerships with industry and has provided the necessary infrastructure to bring major research awards to OU. Important radar hardware design courses have recently been added to the Weather Radar Curriculum at OU and the RIL will be used in our commitment to provide students a comprehensive education in the field of radar. |
